Dr. Zack Hambrick is the lab director of the Expertise Lab at Michigan State University. He's also a professor of psychology. He and his team research the origins and underpinnings of expert performance. They conduct research on a wide variety of topics, including sports, music, and chess. The ultimate goal of the Expertise lab is to help develop insights into how one can learn complex skills efficiently and improve performance.
