Dr. Jamie Taylor is a high-performance coach and coach developer.
He is an Assistant Professor at Dublin City University and the University of Edinburgh, a Senior Coach Developer at Grey Matters Performance Ltd, and an academy Forwards Coach at Wasps.
He is a qualified performance coach, Level 4 rugby union coach, and qualified teacher. He has worked with over 150 coaches in a developmental capacity from a range of sports including football, rugby union, rugby league, and across Olympic/Paralympic sports. Specifically, in rugby union, this has included work with senior and academy coaches across the Premiership, URC, and Top 14.
As an academic, he has 15 published peer review publications and book chapters specifically pertaining to talent development, many in rugby.
He currently supervises 20 doctoral-level students working across high-performance sports domains. Former roles include Coaching and Curriculum Lead English Institute of Sports Performance Pathways Team and head coach of Leicester Tigers Academy.
