Christopher A. Aiken, Ph.D. is a behavioral scientist with specializations in cognitive performance and human movement. Dr. Aiken is originally from Henderson, NV and graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.A. in psychology. Dr. Aiken then attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he earned his M.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in sport psychology and motor behavior. He then went on to complete his Ph.D. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in motor control and learning at Louisiana State University. Dr. Aiken's research focus investigates how psychological manipulations during practice influence skill acquisition. His work also explores kinematic transfer between effectors. His work has focused on learner-controlled feedback, attentional focus, contextual interference, and ipsilateral and contralateral transfer of motor skills.
